The Mumbai Cobras are one of the first four franchises of Baseball United, the first-ever professional baseball league in the Middle East and South Asia. The Cobras are the first professional baseball team in the history of both India and the broader GCC and South Asian region so we wanted to honor Mumbai, because it’s not only one of the largest and most dynamic cities in the world, but it’s also the commercial and entertainment capital of India.

In the heart of Mumbai, where the rhythm of the city pulses through the veins of its people, lies a spirit of determination and resilience that is unmatched. This spirit is embodied by the cobra, a creature revered for its strength, agility, and resolve. The cobra and Mumbai are one and the same, each possessing a raw, unbridled energy that cannot be tamed. They are a perfect match, a reflection of the city’s unrelenting spirit and the cobra’s unwavering tenacity.
